Our Story
Florida Urban Agriculture Inc. was established in 2015 in Groveland, Florida, with a clear and grounded purpose: to bring agriculture closer to everyday life for families and neighborhoods across the state.
What began as a grassroots effort to promote backyard food production has grown into a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves veterans, youth, and communities throughout Florida. Our tagline — "Going Back to the Basics for Florida's Backyards" — reflects our belief that self-reliance starts at home, in your own backyard.
We are not just about growing food. We are about growing knowledge, growing confidence, and growing stronger communities rooted in sustainability and practical skills.
